Breakfast Menu


We are happy to cater for a variety of dietary requirements. Please notify us in advance and mention any allergies. We will endeavour to include any special requests as part of the daily grocery shopping.

If you require something different to what we would normally offer as listed below, please do not hesitate to mention your needs to Gary, either at the time of booking or upon arrival.

  • Fresh fruits from the fruit bowl. Please help yourself during your stay if you wish to take something to your room or as part of a picnic for your days out. Typically we can offer bananas, apples, nectarines, peaches, oranges, clementines, plums etc subject to seasonal variations and availability.
  • Starters: a bowl of fresh berries such as blueberries, strawberries and when in season organic raspberries and red currants from our garden, full of vitamins and part of your '5 a day'.
  • Low fat natural Greek style yogurt and a selection of other delicious fruit yogurts if you prefer something sweeter.
  • Cereals: luxury fruit and nut muesli, bran flakes, corn flakes and Weetabix.
  • Organic whole rolled jumbo porridge oats.
  • A wide selection of teas: English breakfast, Earl Grey, matcha green tea, mint, fruit and herbal varieties.
  • Filter coffee, hot chocolate and pure fruit juices.

The King's breakfast:  A full English freshly cooked to order. 


Please choose from the following items: 
  • Poached, fried or scrambled eggs cooked to your liking.
  • Rashers of unsmoked back bacon and succulent honey and pork chipolatas.
  • Baby plum tomatoes roasted with extra virgin olive oil, a hint of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Chunky pan fried mushrooms cooked in butter and seasoned with white pepper and dark soy sauce.
  • Hash browns or sautéed potatoes, depending on what we have in the refrigerator.
  • Baked beans and / or tinned plum tomatoes
  • Vegetarian options such as veggie bean burgers or sausages. 


The Queen's breakfast: A lighter healthier choice bursting with flavour and colour.


  • Hot Scottish smoked salmon served with soft poached or scrambled eggs.
  • Crunchy peppery watercress, rocket and baby green spinach leaves.
  • A few slices of fresh cucumber & colourful sweet red and yellow mirabella peppers.
  • Baby plum tomatoes roasted with extra virgin olive oil, a hint of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Chunky pan fried mushrooms cooked in butter and seasoned with white pepper and dark soy sauce.

Omelettes:
  • Choose from vintage cheddar cheese, mushrooms, black forest cured ham, baby plum tomatoes, onions & sweet mirabella peppers.

Toasted granary style seeded brown bread: 
  • Choose from a selection of traditional dark thick cut marmalade, organic forest honey, finest fruit preserves and Marmite.
